Art & Spirit Workshop

IMG_0888The Mittleman Jewish Community Center co sponsored a wonderful workshop with ORA Northwest Jewish Artists.

The students were accomplished painters, ceramicists, mosaic, fiber, glass artists, and poets. Rabbi Goldie Milgram guided the group through activities to bring warmth and trust into the room. She presented visual prompts, midrash, text study, and music before launching us to imagine, sketch, write, draw, design.

Inspiration came  to us not only for the creation of new works, but also for the creation of more opportunities to use text study for the inspiration of new works.

Thank you MJCC…Thank you ORA leadership….and most especially, thank you Rabbi Goldie!
